Ikobix has a kind caring nature, he tries very hard to give other Jedi words of advice in keeping the peace, as well as provide assistance if they need it. He doesn't help slackers however. He's rather oblivious to situations that involve combat, and tries to sweet talk, or cuteness his way out a fight by making himself appear to be just an animal with no intellectual thought.

When Ikobix was a pup, he and his family were sold in the underground market as exotic pets. Smugglers were one of his worst enemies, especially the ones that dealt with illegal trade. His family were sold, one by one, never to be seen again. Ikobix was the final one left. the Smuggler sold him to a Jawa on Nar shaddaa and he was caged, the jawa was going to sell him too. that was, until an adventuring jedi came across the Kushiban and felt the force flowing through him. The Jedi took money out of her own pocket to buy the Kushiban, and she freed him. that was when she gave Ikobix an offer he couldn't refuse. Join the Jedi order, and protect the peace. He just had to do it. 

Several years later, as a knight, Ikobix was assigned a job in the order of training younglings and padawans and trained them to the rank of knight, where after he trained both knights into becoming so, he was nominated to be ranked Master, and put on the Jedi Council as a teacher to all younglings, whom he loves teaching to, and giving helpful advice to. However when the Sith attacked the order, Ikobix had tried to save as many younglings as he could, but ultimately failed at saving any of them. this changed for the better for the Kushiban when he found a young boy on Tatooine and remembered his own teachings for the first time in years.
